Lets face it, one glass of electric lemonade is never enough. There are tons of different ways to mix up a batch but here at The South Shore Kitchen we like it best when it tart and fills up a pitcher. All the ingredients can be scaled to taste, some recipes add soda for bubbles, sour mix, or even extra sugar but we like to keep it simple. Electric lemonade is an eye-catching shade of blue and a flavor that can be sipped all day long on a hot summer day. Basically, it’s fancy kool-aid for grownups.
We love to make ice cubes specifically for this drink. Mix up your electric lemonade ingredients minus the vodka and pour into an ice cube tray and freeze. Keep in mind they take a little longer to freeze than water. Take a second tray and freeze lemonade. Serve with a few cubes of each flavor. You end up with a super cute cocktail and zero watered down flavor.
Whipping up a batch is super easy. We like to use a 64 oz mason jar, add all the ingredients, shake and put in the fridge to chill. It’s a perfect container to take outside without worrying about spills or something flying into your pitcher.
