Each and almost every Tuesday here at South Shore Kitchen we feature a cocktail from our list of underappreciated cocktails suggested by our favorite bar keeper. This week we are mixing it up and sharing our gin and jam cocktail recipe. It’s fruity, sweet, and a little bit tart. The best part is that it uses ingredients you probably have around the house or will be fairly easy to find in the store.
Time To Jam
Grab a shaker, add a couple teaspoons of your favorite jam, we used tart cherry, squeeze in lime juice, add gin, fill with ice and shake hard until jam breaks down. Pour into serving glass and top with 7-up.
That’s all there is to it. We love to make it with gin but vodka also works great. Feel free to get creative and use any flavor jam you would like. As a personal preference we find 7-up is a better mixer than sprite or seltzer.
Check out some of our other Cocktail Corner recipes, we love the Oaxaca old fashioned, nectarine splash, or the super easy to make dark and stormy.
