Glazed Crunchy Ramen & Almond Salad Topping
- 1 pkg Ramen Noodles, Uncooked & Seasoning Discarded
- ½ cup sliced almonds
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- Open package of ramen noodles and remove seasoning packet. Crush dried noodles into smaller pieces.
- On medium heat, melt butter in a skillet. Once butter is melted stir in sugar until blended. Add ramen and almonds. Mix with spatula for an even coating. Heat mixture for approximately 5 minutes or until lightly browned. You will need to stir often to achieve a nice golden coloring.
- Remove from heat. Let cool. Once mixture has cooled you will have a delicious crunchy glaze on your mixture.
Keep an eye out when browning almond/ramen mixture. It goes from not quite brown to wow that is done very quickly at the end.
Make sure everything is 100% cooled before packing up for storage. The heat will make your topping soggy if you do it too soon.
