Hey scallywags! It’s that time of the week where we come up with a potentially amazing new cocktail for you to try at home. Here at the South Shore Kitchen we affectionately refer to this segment as Cocktail Corner. Good, bad or generally mediocre we tell you all about it. This week have the spicy pirate, a real gem of a cocktail with ginger syrup, lime juice, spiced rum and topped with a splash of Topo Chico.
It’s a good one! Everyone here at the South Shore Kitchen loved it. It’s light and refreshing with the spicy goodness of ginger and spiced rum. It’s a quick and easy drink to kick up your weeknight cocktail routine. We are rating this one a solid 4 across the board. A drink that is easy and delicious is always a winner in our book.

- 1 oz ginger syrup
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1.5 oz spiced rum
- Splash Topo Chico
- Fill a large rocks glass with ice. Add ginger syrup, lime juice, spiced rum, and a splash of topo chico.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!
